PE - is on Wednesday and Thursday afternoon

Swimming - is on Thursday afternoon

Spellings 

Spellings will be given out on a Friday and will be tested on Friday of the following week.  We follow the spelling scheme No Nonsense Spelling, this covers the statutory spellings for Year 5 and Year 6.  In addition to this there will be occasions where spellings will be provided that reflect the needs of the class or individual child. 

Home learning 

Home learning is given out on a Friday and is to be handed in on Wednesday of the following week.  Home learning is a Maths activity based on the learning in class that week.   If your child is struggling with their home learning, please bring it into school on Monday or Tuesday and staff members will be happy to help with any misconceptions.  

Home Reading

As a school, we operate a read three times a week policy. Please ensure that your child is reading at home, daily, if possible. This is extremely important for their progression and understanding.
