Home Learning

Reading

Please support your child to complete their home learning each week. Reading is a key life skill that unlocks the doors to a world of understanding! Please listen to your child read and sign their reading record at least three times a week. 

Spellings

The weekly spelling list will be introduced in class and sent home on a Friday. The children will be tested the following Friday. We currently use the Purple Mash spelling scheme.

Maths

Please help your child to remember to complete their maths homework each week. In Year 4 children are expected to have a rapid recall of multiplication and division facts to 12x12. The more they practise the quicker they will be! Children will bring home maths homework each week linked to the learning they have completed in class. There will also be homework set on Times Tables Rock |Stars to be completed by Thyrsday each week.

PE

Swimming currently takes place on Thursday afternoons. Please ensure your child has their swim kit in school each week and they have taken their ear rings out before coming to school.

PE will take place on a Tuesday. Please make sure your child has a white t-shirt, black shorts/tracksuit trousers and a change of shoes.
